“University Blue” Lands On The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT

“University Blue” Lands On The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT

Since its debut in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 has taken on ensembles rooted in aspects of Michael Jordan’s professional and personal lives. Recently, the sneaker’s Zoom CMFT update has emerged in a mix of “University Blue” and “Ice Blue” that surely draw inspiration from #23’s alma mater.

Leather is scarce on the comfort-oriented modification of the first Air Jordan, with suede and mesh taking over everything from the overlays around the toe to the underlays around the collar area. Most of the panels closest to the off-white base layer indulge in a University of North Carolina-friendly blue, while a lighter shade of the tone lands on the quarter panel and ankle flaps. Underfoot, the Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT boasts an “aged” look as midsoles opt for a slightly-yellowed finish; the oft-imitated traction dons mostly “University Blue” flair, although a bold red interrupts the ensemble.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
