Recently, the modified version of the original Air Jordan silhouette emerged in a regal purple and vibrant yellow color combination that evokes the memory of the Los Angeles Lakers. Differing from a Nike Dunk High from May 2021, the newly-surfaced retro covers most of its upper in purple and yellow, not black. Toe boxes, profile swooshes and areas around the ankle take on the golden hue that graces the Lakers’ home uniforms. The Velcro-assisted lockdown strap is placed atop the laces and around the collar, assisting those with limited hand mobility with easier on-and-off functionality,
