Kyle Kuzma And PUMA Unveil “Childhood Dreams” Collection

Despite Bradley Beal’s absence from the lineup, Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards have held down the fort while enjoying a four-game win streak. Alongside a season-high 36-point outing last week, the 2020 champion is additionally doubling down on efforts with his “Childhood Dreams” lifestyle brand, announcing a collaborative capsule collection with PUMA of the same name.

Drawing inspiration from Kuzma’s youth and the 90’s basketball nostalgia that enveloped him while growing up in Flint, Michigan; boastful, muted tones and cargo pockets evoke the eras aesthetic across the collection which includes a hoodie, a pair of trousers, a varsity jacket, the PUMA TRC Blaze Court and the PUMA Ralph Sampson Mule.

A boisterous collection of faded hues and disparate textiles roam on the TRC Blaze Court, extending a sunset orange suede mudguard across a tightly woven olive green forefoot. A matching pistachio shade follows suit along the shaggy suede texture of the midfoot overlay and heel before a dark teal outfit lays claim to the one-piece tongue, sock liner and lightened heel counter stitched with titular orange accents. With its color palette being flexed, neutral contrasts tone down the proposition through a sail-colored sole unit and cream laces in conclusion.

Earth tones, in contrast, take the main stage of the Ralph Sampson build while employing a drop-in Mule construction. Clothed entirely in suedes, a dominant treatment of chocolate brown anchors the midfoot and vamp whereas its mudguard, side stripe and blue speckled sole unit indulge in a sandy coat. Pairing thick cream laces with the collection’s repeating tea leaf green, the silhouette concludes with the latter color finishing along its heel and tongue tabs.

In keeping with the fashion brand owner and creative director’s belief that a better future for the youth is sewn from planting seeds, the German banner is set to pledge $10,000 to the One Tree Planted organization in an effort to plant 10,000 trees in Kuzma’s home state of Michigan.

Releasing this Friday, November 18th for a retail price ranging from $40-250 at PUMA.com, the PUMA app and their NYC Flagship Store, enjoy official imagery of the collaborative collection below in the meantime.
