Over the years, the Reebok Club C has dominated sneaker rotations everywhere in some of its simplest color combinations and design arrangements. The last handful of years, however, has seen the silhouette dress up in more experimental ensembles, often borrowing the image and likeness of globally-recognized characters. Case in point?: A recently-surfaced look commemorating the Joker.
Clad in muted purple, black and green tones, the upcoming sneakers are perfect for those who root for Gotham’s supervillain (even if in secret). A medley of “patches” make up the pair’s upper, with traditional Reebok branding on the lateral profile being replaced by a pocket, faithfully nodding to the Joker’s suit. The tongue’s underside also features a hidden compartment, although its contents are to remain a mystery. Two cartoon logos related to the D.C. Universe figure land on the tops of each shoe’s tongues, while sock-liners also nod to the special collaboration. Lastly, tennis court-informed outsoles underfoot boast a greenish finish that suggests glow-in-the-dark capabilities.
No firm reebok.com launch details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. While you wait, enjoy teaser images of the pair ahead.
