Packer Shoes and Reebok have collaborated on several compelling footwear projects that’ve flown under the radar over the last handful of years. For their latest joint-effort, the two companies have looked to the classic Club C for a simple, but experimental proposition.
At quick glance, the unreleased pair resembles any easily-available Reebok Club C with its predominantly white arrangement, but closer inspection reveals specific details that denote the shoes as a collaboration between two longtime partners. For starters, Packer updates the court sneaker’s standard leather construction by juxtaposing smooth, premium garment leather and full-grain tumbled leather. The design choice adds personality to the athletic offering from 1985, although the most animated accent arrives in the form of the burgundy-colored inner-lining. Branding on the tongue label and lateral profile windows favor a tonal off-white finish, but the East Coast institution injects two final hits of flair on these components: “CLASSIC” text on the former boast the same burgundy finish, while the “R” in traditional “REEBOK” logos on the lateral side is highlighted in such a way that it reads as a “P”, a cool nod to Packer Shoes. Lastly, sole units don an “aged” midsole and light grey traction.
Enjoy campaign imagery of the pair ahead, and find the shoes available via packershoes.com on Friday, December 2nd, at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT for $120 USD.
