Nike’s growing focus on HBCUs through its footwear offerings is ready to shine brighter in 2023. Specifically for Florida A&M, Nike is broadening its hoops connection with the Rattlers by releasing its first ever collaborative issue with the LeBron 7.
Seen here in an incredible PE-style colorway, the Nike LeBron 7 “FAMU” features a black suede overlay with speckle patterns on a green and orange Swoosh logo. The Rattlers logo is enshrined on the tongue window above the exposed Flywire cables, while the same dotted pattern appears on the full-length Air Max unit. Keeping things to its original format is the L23 logo on the heel (LeBron would switch to number 6 in 2011 upon his move to Miami.
This LeBron 7 “FAMU” release comes on the heels of the recent revelation of a set of LeBron 20 PEs, although those pairs will not hit retail. For now, check out the official images and await a release in early Spring 2023 alongside more LeBron 7 Retro offerings.
