Spring Is Summoned With This Kids Air Max 97 “Blue Whisper”

Closing out its 25th anniversary this month, the Nike Air Max 97 has been included in the Beaverton-based brand’s conscious efforts toward increasing their youth sized offerings. Conducting as many playful propositions as the Air Jordan 1 Mid’s typical construction, faded blue pastels outfit the latest grade school-exclusive effort.

Similar to that of the shades employed unto its “Polka Dot” counterpart, muted “Blue Whisper” hues envelop the midfoots sectioned overlays – save a singular sliver of crisp white – and bleed onto the mesh tooling of its tongue and layered lace joints. Interrupting the two features with a duo of jet-black strips, further pitch dark contrasts render within the sock liner and zebra-like tread underfoot. Following its seldom darkened exploration, vibrant sky blues fill the background of a titular yellow Swoosh and translucent Air Max bubble directly underneath while the latter color is harkened alongside magenta to clothe the insoles and pull tabs in an opposing fashion.
