One of Mark Nguyen’s many ventures, LA-based lifestyle label Maybe Tomorrow mainly specializes in accessories, producing graphic-adorned trucker hats as well as beanies clipped with safety pins of all sizes. Now sneakers, too, are a speciality of the brand, as they’ve recently joined forces with Saucony on collaborative renditions of the Shadow 6000 and 3D Grid Hurricane, both of which – following their debut at ComplexCon back in November — are scheduled to hit boutiques on December 30th.
Using the above-mentioned silhouettes as their canvas, Maybe Tomorrow pays homage to an iconic Aesop’s fable: The Tortoise and the Hare. The Shadow 6000 draws direct inspiration from the faster yet hastier of the two, its panels reupholstered with faux fur and lush suedes that are colored to resemble the long-eared racer. In contrast, the 3D Grid Hurricane is likened to the slower, more level-headed protagonist, embodying his look and feel by way of a bright green colorway and shell-textured detailing.
For another look at the Maybe Tomorrow x Saucony collaboration, see below. Both the Shadow 6000 and 3D Grid Hurricane will be available through select retailers tomorrow, December 30th.
In other news, the Air Jordan 2 Chicago is also releasing tomorrow.
