adidas Expands On The Slip-On Trend With The adiFOM Superstar

Slip-on silhouettes have been all the rage throughout 2022, with seemingly every footwear brand reconfiguring the popularity set by the Yeezy Slide and adidas Foam Runner. From the market clamoring to Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Clog to Jordan Brand’s own clog-like answer, the Three Stripes has decided to meld together two unassuming silhouettes for its latest slip-on construction, the adidas adiFOM Superstar.

Ditching the lacing system found on its adiFOM Q counterpart and the shell-toe of the Superstar, the latter’s ridged construct is harkened for a one-piece foam ensemble. Mimicking the 1970 silhouette with jet-black 3-Stripes along the midfoot in tandem with the murdered out heel tab and trefoil insignia, the remainder of the simplistic composition indulges in an Off-White tint mirroring the Superstar’s anchoring of a two-toned system while a duo of perforations lines the medial side for breathable comfort.
