Updated February 5th, 2023: The Air Jordan 1 “Reimagined Royal” is expected to release in Holiday 2023. The shoes will feature suede detailing throughout (via @zsneakerheadz)
Over the course of the past three decades, Jordan Brand has Retro’d many of their most iconic Air Jordan 1s, from the “Chicago” to the “Bred.” And come early 2024, the “Royal,” too, will be returning to the shelves, albeit now in “Reimagined” form.
The “Reimagined” series, officially started with the “Lost & Found,” could take unexpected turns with its 2024 issue, the Air Jordan 1 “Royal Reimagined.” While we’d assume a construction and look akin to a sneaker many years it’s senior, reports from @mrunloved1s suggest that the forthcoming colorway won’t be aged nor built of patent leather. It’s possible, according to a recently-surfaced mock-up by @glitchedgarbage, that the shoe will instead be constructed entirely of suede, further expanding our idea of what the series’ moniker suggests. If, however, the Jumpman continues the schema evident across both the “Reimagined Chicago” and the upcoming “Reimagined White Cement”, then it’s very likely we’re in store for something comprised of cracked leathers and yellowed midsoles.
Unfortunately, no in-hand images of the Air Jordan 1 “Royal Reimagined” have surfaced just yet. For now sit tight — more information should surface leading up to the colorway’s early 2024 release.
