From its “Refined Future” banner to a slate of retooled Mule propositions, the New Balance 2002R continues to proffer seldom revitalized updates to the previously forgotten cushioning silhouette. Having been explored in a reserved fashion, the latest update to the OG Dad model flaunts a protective pocket space for spare items.
Anchored by a dominant neutral-toned base, crisp white mesh pairs with “Sea Salt” coated leather overlays and tongue tabs for a subtly bright effort. Toned down through its jet-black treated sole unit, 2002R branded base and grey cured heel counter, a contrasting sample of “Nightwatch Green” animates the sock liner and fuzzy suede heel tab alongside the undercarriage of the cream-colored detachable pouches. Pairing the latter two shades in a doubled-up trim along the midfoot “N” logos, the N-ERGY cushioned sole unit underfoot concludes the vintage-hued silhouette with a lasting cream and tan outfit.
