The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Trades In Its Usual Swooshes For Five New Ones

The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Trades In Its Usual Swooshes For Five New Ones

Over-branding is something of a Nike speciality. And while they have showed a bit of restraint these past few years, every once in a while, the brand does fall back on old habits. Such is the case with this newly-revealed Blazer Mid ’77, which flaunts five different checks instead of the ones we’re accustomed to.

Outside of its Swooshes, this Nike Blazer Mid ’77 is understated in its colorway and construction. Much like many a past inline style, the shoe is near entirely clad in white, with light greys only appearing by way of the suede paneling along the forefoot. The branding does, however, make up for what the palette lacks in color and variety: the lateral side flaunts three printed checks — navy, grey, and red — as well as a miniature one embroidered with light blue thread; the medial, in contrast, is much more straightforward, opting for a blacked-out, outlined version of the logo.

For a closer look at the newest Blazer Mid ’77 “Multi-Check,” check out the official images below. These should be hitting Nike.com and select retailers very soon, so sit tight.

In other news, official images of the Air Jordan 1 Mid Flight Club surfaced earlier this past week.
