Sneaker News Is there any end in sight for the Panda Dunk phenomenon? Nike isn’t hitting the brakes anytime soon because another restock scheduled for Valentine’s Day, and despite the endless series of drops since early 2021, size runs continue to get wiped out. Believe it or not, the Panda Dunks have infiltrated the world of performance sports, with an appearance possibly coming as soon as the upcoming Super Bowl LVII.
The infamous white/black colorway of the ’85 classic is jumping from the streets to the gridiron as official images of a new set of football cleats have appeared featuring the hyper-trendy Panda Dunks with an interior fitted with a knit bootie. The upper is constructed in the familiar white/black leather, but there’s some updated details by way of a metallic logo on the tongue and heel and color-shifting finishes on the Swoosh logos. The outsole swaps out the classic 1985 traction for the Vapor Edge set-up, which features internal full-foot plate and wide stud placements.
