The most recent “Refined Future” range – not “Protection Pack” – features a series of distressed suede panels across the upper. According to lead designer, Yue Wu, the deconstructed approach to the New Balance 2002R (and subsequent NB 1906R) was inspired by “wearable relics.” The latest collection in the series features uniform uppers donning navy, black, tan, and grey colors. Underfoot, the NB 860v2’s sole unit delivers a reliable ride for fans of the “Refined Future” aesthetic.
