Jared Ebanks In late January we previewed The Swooshes grade school-exclusive lineup for the upcoming All-Star weekend in Salt Lake City. Harkening to the diverse array of hues visible through a kaleidoscope, the Nike Air More Uptempo now joins the multi-color pack with its own blue, green and yellow palette.
Similar to its Zoom Freak 4 and its Little Posite One, a “Deep Royal Blue” extends across the entirety of the perforated leather upper’s base layer, rendering gloomy color matches across the lace loops and sock liner. Immediately brightened by way of crisp “Sail” coated laces, “Marigold”, “Electric Algae” and “Baltic Blue” work their way across the enlarged “AIR” lettering stitched atop the side profiles in place of the silhouette’s lack of a stained glass aesthetic. Concluded by a simplistic cream wash across its sole unit, “Opti Yellow” Swooshes land at opposite ends of the pair rendering an embroidered Check at the forefoot while the heel’s embellishment enjoys a jewel appearance.
