Jared Ebanks Just one month away from The Swooshes’ famed Air Max Day celebration, the Beaverton brand has continued to explore an increased slate of air-infused offerings. Recently, the Air Max 97 dressed in seldom accented, crisp white composition.
While an elusive collection of materials have most recently stretched across the Christian Tresser design, the late-90s silhouette reengages in its typical construction white bright white hues enveloping the ballistic mesh base layer, leather overlays and mesh tongue construction. Accompanied by molten lava-shaded Swooshes attached to the upper tongue and insoles, a thin strip of “Racer Blue” extends across the entirety of the pair while finishing atop the mid-foot Checks. Complimented by a buttercream-flavored midsole, a contrasting swatch of jet-black consumes the tread underfoot.
