Staple and PUMA are no strangers, having previously worked on both heritage and modern designs. For their latest linkup, the two institutions have given the classic PUMA Suede a yellow and black makeover.
As the silhouette’s name suggests, suede covers the entirety of the sneaker’s upper. Panels along the tongue, at the toe, and upper heel indulge in a slightly darker shade of yellow. Formstrip branding on the sidewalls deviates in both reptilian scale-like and black finishes. Backstory for the two-tone color scheme is unknown, but it’s possible the latest from Staple and PUMA nods to Bruce Lee’s iconic ensemble in the 1978 film, Game Of Death. Co-branding lands on the lateral mid-foot and heels, while a simple white tone takes over the sole unit underfoot.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for a launch on PUMA.com come March 10. The shoes arrive with a $100 USD price tag.
