With Tiffany & Co’s recent collaborative effort paying the Nike Air Force 1 an overwhelming amount of shine following its 40th anniversary, the Bruce Kilgore design has since toned down its sheer volume of releases in connection to the latter celebration. In its place, a reinvigorated slate of disparate toolings has touched down across The Swooshes’ iconic model, now rendering its clad-leather composition in a waterproof material.
Perfect for the ensuing springtime showers and increased peeks of sunshine, the recently previewed ensemble mirrors its former “Color of the Month” series with a crisp white base layer and touches of color attributing the various branded embellishments. Indulging in a titular section of the color wheel for a lively contrast amongst a sea of white, a vibrant “Orange Citrus” envelops the mid-foot Swooshes and the duo of retro Nike Air logos affixed to the tongue and heel. Rendering the entirety of its flat leather upper in a waterproof tooling while devoid of the material’s typical association with GORE-TEX, the model’s staple gum tread compliments the OG interpolations underfoot.
While we await the pair’s expected release over the coming weeks, enjoy official images of the Nike Air Force 1 Low Waterproof “Orange Citrus” below in the meantime.
For more under the Nike Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 9 is returning to its “Powder Blue” scheme for the first time in a decade.
