Jared Ebanks After revealing a modified update to the Nike Dunk via its Dunk Low Twist silhouette, the Peter Moore design recently construed a number of low-top silhouettes in a compelling mix of colorways from the blue section of the color wheel. In a stark change of scenery, The Swooshes’ most coveted construction over the past few years does a more simplified take on its 2007 homage to Freddy Krueger.
While not officially connected to the iconic horror villain, the “Olive/Mystic Red” color blocking enacts an ominous similarity to Krueger’s iconic striped sweater. Mimicking the two-toned uppers of the silhouette’s synonymous “BTTYS” pack, dark khaki greens spread across the flat leather overlays while additionally attributing the mid-foot Swoosh, laces, sock liner, tongue trim and heel tab. Illuminated by a vibrant red base layer, a crisp white sole unit casts a brightened neutral underfoot whereas the crimson-harkened hue returns to treat the tread below.
Tentatively scheduled to release in Holiday 2023 for a retail price of $115, enjoy official images of the Nike Dunk Low “Mystic Red” below in the meantime.
