Jared Ebanks As we venture further into spring and sunny-filled weekends become more frequent, parks are bound to be occupied by a number of picnics. The Swoosh too is taking in the outdoor scenery serving up their heralded Air Force 1 Low for the Beaverton brand’s latest inline collection mirroring the tablecloth blankets synonymous with brown wicker baskets and sandwiches.
Comprised of a similar tumbled leather tooling that’s continued to grace the silhouette’s “Color of the Month” collection, a clad crisp white upper introduces the Bruce Kilgore design’s latest slate of ensembles. While we anticipate a myriad of color blockings, the debut proposition’s “Gingham Plaid” texture sets up shop along the mid-foot Swoosh and connecting heel tab for a seldom yet immersive feature. Coating the latter in “University Blue” the identifying Tarheel shade further collects along the tongue tab, insoles and enamel lace dubrae providing a colorful finish to the simplified two-toned effort.
