HAL STUDIOS’ ASICS GEL-1130 MK II “Forest” Releases Globally On April 18

HAL STUDIOS’ ASICS GEL-1130 MK II “Forest” Releases Globally On April 18

HAL STUDIOS is the brainchild of Matthew Thomas and John Bouquet. Last year, the Australian creative agency released two compelling pairs of the ASICS GEL-1130 MK. The “Forest” iteration of the retro silhouette will see a global release soon.

Approached with minimalism in mind, the collaboration between Highs and Lows’ in-house studio and ASICS rids itself of the extra fluff traditionally associated with performance running shoes. Instead, HAL STUDIOS’ second GEL-1130 MK accentuates retro-futurist characteristics via contrasting textures and colors. The sequel takes on a deep green and brown color scheme aligned with its “Forest” moniker. Off white and orange accents also enter the mix, further amplifying the shoes’ meticulously-chosen panels and other design cues. The result is a joint-effort that’s sure to lead to a third linkup between HAL STUDIOS and ASICS.

Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for firm release details.
