Junya Watanabe MAN Applies A Premium Brown Finish To The New Balance Rainier Boot

Junya Watanabe MAN Applies A Premium Brown Finish To The New Balance Rainier Boot

Junya Watanabe unveiled several New Balance collaborations as part of its Autumn/Winter 2023 showcase in January. Ahead of launching the basketball and running-inspired sneakers, the Japanese institution has quietly dropped a brown-colored Rainier boot via select shops.

The New Balance Rainier is constructed with premium materials. Leather, suede, and textile panels divvy up real estate across the boots’ upper, which is clad in shades of brown and wheat. Co-branding is minimal on the historic silhouette – Lou Whittaker wore a pair when he came the first American to ascend Mt Everest’s North Col in 1984 – only appearing on the spine. Sole units underfoot remain true to the model’s blueprint as comfortable EVA foam is accompanied by reliable Vibram® rubber traction.

Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, and find the NB Rainier at select shops now for $385 USD. A newbalance.com launch hasn’t been disclosed.
