As an NBA hooper, the amenities run rampant while a number of players pride themselves on becoming dog dads. For Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic, he’s got six pairs of paws scrambling to meet him at the door after a home game. While the four-time All-Star won’t be publicly suiting up in his first signature silhouette after failing to make the Playoffs, his latest Jordan Luka 1 looks toward some offseason inspiration with the appearance of his canine companions.
Posting up on social media with his two White Swiss Shepards and Pomeranian throughout the 2020 pandemic, the pair of dog’s crisp white fur is mimicked throughout the upper’s colorless ensemble while jet-black branded embellishments at the tongue, vamp and heel contrast the monochromatic effort. Infusing a lively pink pastel finish along the pull tabs and exposed mid-foot shank underfoot, each of the insoles come inscribed with the paw prints of his three pets, Viki, Hugo and Gia. One of his most frequently worn efforts through the tail-end of the regular season, the aforementioned model marks the second appearance of Hugo and Gia following their debut via one of Doncic’s Air Jordan 35 Low PEs.
While we await further release details, in the meantime enjoy official imagery of the Jordan Luka 1 “Dog Dad” below.
For more from the Beaverton brand’s basketball umbrella, the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Mambacita” is expected to release on May 1st.
