Sneaker News With collaborative attempts with Stussy and Social Status under its belt, the Nike Air Penny 2 re-issue is well into the “GR” phase of its run before the original “Orlando” colorways come to stores. While many have attracted attention, the Penny 2 has been a relative flop at retail as most pairs have been sitting on shelves with markdowns awaiting.
That said, the Air Penny 2 is a solid pick-up at the right price, and this upcoming colorway, which tacks on a white/black “Panda”-style colorway, will likely see a similar future. A retail price likely at $180-200 followed by an eventual discount is what seems likely for this release, not to say that these don’t live up to its name. It’s even got the faded color edges seen on the Dunk High and Air More Uptempo, while a basketball-inspired logo on the insole attaches this SKU to a seasonal hoops-themed collection.
A firm release date for this Air Penny 2 has yet to arrive, so stay tuned for updates.
