Launching into the springtime season with an expansive pastel-infused collection of the ASICS Gel-Lyte V, the 30th-anniversary silhouette is now embarking on a duo of summer-ready color blockings that boasts a more subdued yet equally expressive palette.
Tied together by the appearance of an ancient Japanese coin lace lock that’s significance at this point has yet to be determined, each pair resides on opposite ends of the color spectrum. Exploring a boastful set of tonal “Bengal Orange” hues, the latter consumes the heavily perforated leather base while additionally attributing the forefoot’s suede overlays and oval laces. Elsewhere a darkened “Terracotta” treats the partly hidden quarter and textured heel counter while a contrasting pale tan fills the tongue construction and mid-foot Tiger Stripes.
In stark opposition, a gloomy set of blues is cast across the second option illuminated by vibrant “Seafoam” overlays and contrasted via a dark navy heel. Baby blue shades imbue an embroidered finish throughout the model’s branded embellishments while both ensembles dip a section of the midsole in splattered graphics.
