The Chinese Dongdan Basketball Tournament Receives Its Own Jordan Nu Retro 1

The Chinese Dongdan Basketball Tournament Receives Its Own Jordan Nu Retro 1

Taking place in the “Holy Land” of outdoor Chinese basketball each year, the Sunset Dongdan Tournament has served as a pilgrimage site for the Greater China hoops scene. Much like years past, Jordan Brand will be representing the annual tradition with an extensive slate of footwear that is set to include the Jordan Nu Retro 1.

Following first looks at both the Air Jordan 5 and Air Jordan 37 Low, the early Y2K era silhouette achieves a similar palette with its use of a crisp white vamp, tongue and embroidered mid-foot overlays featuring the banner’s typically embossed wing insignia. In stark contrast, jet-black shades further instill a monochrome aesthetic across the mudguard and heel while a translucent lilac tread and split midsole underfoot work in concert with the vibrant pink treatment anchoring the heel’s knit Dongdan logo.

While we await further release details, in the meantime enjoy a look at the official imagery of the Jordan Nu Retro 1 “Sunset Dongdan” below.
