1980s leather basketball shoes continues to own a spot on store shelves, and the resurgence of the New Balance 550 model deserves a lot of the credit for expanding the range beyond the Air Force 1. The high-top 650 made its modern-day revival in the Spring of 2022, spawned in a variety of colorways and collaborations with Aimé Leon Dore.
NB is pushing hard on the in-line drops, although we must say that there needs to be a bit more variety. This latest batch, anchored by a tan/grey Angora, offers up a simple assortment of colorways accented by distinct shades. You can keep it simple with black, but there’s a marine blue and astro dust option as well.
All three styles from the “Angora” pack are scheduled to launch on the morning of July 1st, 2023 for an MSRP of $130.
In other New Balance news, the second colorway of Action Bronson’s collaboration with NB, the New Balance 990v6 “Lapis Lazuli”, is set to release on June 30th, 2023.
