Upon its founding, Japan’s TIGHTBOOTH wasn’t quite what it is today. Established by pro skateboarder Shinpei Ueno back in 2005, the crew originally made a name for themselves filming skate videos, “LENZ” being one of their most popular productions. Clothing came not long after, and now the brand operates at the intersection of fashion and skateboarding.
Previously joining forces with longtime Nike family member fragment design, it was only matter of time before TIGHTBOOTH would receive their own collaboration with the Swoosh. And that time seems to have finally come, as leaks have revealed that the two are working on a Nike SB Dunk Low for release later this year.
Looking at the newly-surfaced first look, the TIGHTBOOTH x Nike SB Dunk Low employs an understated scheme that’s essentially the inverse of the ubiquitous “Panda” colorway. A matte black material is applied to the unders, while white leathers bearing a steel plate reminiscent texture wrap the shoe over top. What’s more, the Swoosh features a reflective finish; the fat tongue is dressed in “TIGHTBOOTH” branding and a dotted pattern; and orange highlights mark the logo tab as well as a couple of the internal fixtures.
TIGHTBOOTH’s upcoming Dunk Low is currently expected during the last half of 2023. As we await further details, sit tight and enjoy a first look at the pair right here.
