Jared Ebanks The New Balance 550 has become one of the Boston brand’s go-to lifestyle silhouettes following a resurgence alongside Aimé Leon Dore. For its next installment, the Basketball Oxford embarks on a suede-treated pack headlined by a decadent “Olive” composition.
Ditching its synonymous perforated leather upper, the 550 instead indulges in messy suede overlays in the latter’s place. Paired together with comfortable mesh underlays, the entirety of the upper assumes a tonal dark green ensemble. The silhouettes embroidered branded embellishments show up in a seldom white accent in tandem with the trim of the mid-foot N logo and tongue tab while the tread compliments the earth-based palette with a light cream closing.
