Jovani Hernandez Steven Smith’s New Balance 550 has spent more time in the archives than on retail shelves, but recent history has seen it in the spotlight.
As summer gets going, the model has emerged in a blue suede makeup. Traditional smooth and perforated leather is replaced with a hairy material that injects a lifestyle finish into the sneaker. The suede arrangement is coupled with a mesh base done in a similar denim-reminiscent tone; branding across the upper also follows suit. Lastly, the sole unit underfoot keeps things simple with a white midsole and semi-translucent, cream-colored outsole.
