Michael Le Building upon what’s already on offer, New Balance will soon be releasing their basketball oxford in a series of canvas-constructed styles. This includes not only the plum-colored pair revealed this past weekend but also this newly-surfaced “White Canvas” colorway.
Following in the footsteps of a different hardwood icon, this New Balance 550 forgoes leather and suede almost entirely, opting for canvas through every one of the upper fixtures save for the “N” logo. Not counting the outsole, which is dressed in a bright gum, the woven material’s white finish is carried over to many of the adjacent details, such as the laces, midsole, and embroidered branding.
Enjoy a closer look at the New Balance 550 “White Canvas” via the official imagery added ahead. A release date has not yet been confirmed, though it likely shouldn’t be long before we see these on NewBalance.com and at select retailers.
