Dusted off from the archives via Teddy Santis, the New Balance 550 has grown to become one of the Boston brand’s most reliable lifestyle silhouettes of the modern age. Following its exploration in clad-suede tooling, the Basketball Oxford now joins a light grey ensemble to the growing capsule of low-tops.
Alongside its recently previewed light blue and “Olive” counterparts, the “Grey Suede” NB 550 is draped entirely in the worn texture. Save the mesh tooling of the vamp, tongue and heel collar, the messy fabric stretches from the mudguard to the white branded heel counter. The laces, collar lining and bulbous mid-foot logo drum up further color matches that further anchor the tonal composition while the sole unit adheres to the upcoming collection’s synonymous use of a colorless midsole and faint cream tread underfoot.
Enjoy a detailed look at the New Balance 550 “Grey Suede” below as we await further release details.
