Being one of the most influential and longest-running shows on the planet, it’s no surprise that The Simpsons has produced countless memes over the course of its 34-year-long run. What is surprising, however, is that adidas is only now diving beyond the tip of this iceberg, using the Stan Smith to recreate what is arguably one of the most iconic moments from the series’ lead patriarch: Homer Simpson.
First revealed during the Fall of 2022, the adidas Stan Smith “Homer Simpson” takes us back to Episode 16 of Season 5, where Homer creeps back into the bushes once Flanders declines his invitation to spend the day together. This scene — inspired by the unforgettable T-1000 villain from the action movie Terminator 2: Judgement day — is recreated faithfully along the sneaker’s heel tab, with an embroidered depiction of the character tucked amidst a bushy, green-hued chenille. The rest of the shoe is much more akin to the OG Stan Smith, though the gilded branding along the side and the portrait atop the tongue have been tweaked to honor Mr. Simpson himself.

In other news, the Travis Scott Jordan Cut The Check shoe is debuting later this year.
