adidas Yeezy Slides took a six month hiatus due to the fallout between Ye and the Three Stripes, but the silhouette’s presence never waned. Other competitors have released their own versions of minimal, foam-based slides over that half-year period, yet, Ye’s design reigns above the rest.
Recently, rumors began circulating that Foot Locker and other retailers would sell Yeezys again. According to reports back in October 2022, the Three Stripes asked its retail associates to indefinitely halt all sales of adidas Yeezy products. New management at the German sportswear behemoth ended up selling Ye’s designs in May as part of an effort to rid itself of millions of dollars in unsold Yeezy merchandise, and it seems retailers are following suit. Pairs of the popular Yeezy Boost 350 V2 and Yeezy Slides are expected to begin popping up at big box stores and independent boutiques alike come August. The “Slate Grey” style of Ye’s popular slip-on model is believed to launch on August 22nd for a price of $60 USD.
Enjoy retailer photography ahead, and anticipate a select retailer release on August 18th.
In other footwear news, the Bad Bunny x adidas Campus “Brown” releases on July 29th.
