Two years away from its 35th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 90 continues to play an important role in the brand’s lineup of products.
Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design has emerged in another ensemble projected by GORE-TEX. Muted “Black” and “Anthracite” tones come together with “Honeydew” and “Mica Green” colors to form a compelling take on one of the Swoosh’s most recognizable designs from the 1990s. Visually, the latest Air Max sneaker features a traditional build, but closer inspection – especially at the TPU window on the profiles – reveals water-resistant properties. A series of leather overlays also land on the shoe, replacing the plethora of suede panels that form Hatfield’s original design. Lastly, sole units underfoot keep the upper’s color palette alive, while also bringing a “chipped” aesthetic to the Air Max 90.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch as autumn rolls around.
