Over the past few years, Blondey McCoy’s THAMES MMXX brand has opened the door for a number of collaborative silhouettes with adidas. Routinely combining elements of high fashion with skate-ready technology, the West London native’s latest collaboration as a 3-Stripes team rider comes by way of his affinity for the adidas Superstar.
The all-new Blondey x adidas Pro Model picks up on the same design cues that began McCoy’s journey with the German sportswear behemoth. Fully transparent uppers reminisce on his see-through Superstar from 2019 while gold foil “BLONDEY” branding sits parallel to the “Aurum” or black mid-foot stripes. Bearing an authentic reflection of Blondey’s inspiration within the greater skating landscape through the model’s staple shell toe and synthetic leather eye stays.
The silhouette arrives in two inaugural colorways, pairing golden accents with the dominant “Indigo” ensemble while the pure “Footwear White” proposition receives a contrasting set of jet-black logos and laces. The Blondey x adidas Pro Model will release in its dark navy colorway on August 5th for a retail price of $130, followed by the monochrome offering on August 25th. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the silhouette below.
