Michael Le Since its inception, the Nike By You platform — formerly known as Nike ID — has enlisted help from many a guest designer. And for its latest installment, the program has handed over the reigns to Gisele Thompson, allowing the burgeoning athlete to envision her ideal Air Max 1.
We, too, are able to get in on the fun, regardless of if we’ve inked a deal with the Swoosh. Using the foundation of options Thompson has curated, the Air Max 1 can be customized in a number of new ways. The materials, for starters, range from standard options like smooth leather and nubuck to a more unique, polished croc that fades to a different color with wear. What’s more, users can swap out the standard check and traditional mesh lining for a Jewel Swoosh and a luxe velvet, respectively.
