As the “dad shoe” trend continues to surge, a number of brands have dusted off once-forgotten running classics from decades past and returned them to much fanfare. Others, like the 3-Stripes, have opted to update their old-school toolings for the new age, such as the adidas Orketro 2.0’s latest greyscale ensemble.
Renovating its 2000s counterpart, the heavily layered ensemble harkens back to a Y2K aesthetic with tonal grey hues curing everything from the knit mesh base layer and neoprene sock liner to the tongue’s leather overlays and the “Matte Silver” forefoot stripes. Underfoot, the Adiprene cushioning system is flooded even further with monochrome hues while the tongue tab denotes a seldom brown branded embellishment.
The adidas Orketro 2.0 “Matte Silver” is currently available overseas. While we await news regarding a stateside release, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below.
