Concepts And Vans Vault Launch “Smoke And Mirrors” Collection On September 8th

Concepts and Vans are no strangers to one another, having worked on 15 different projects over the last 27 years. As Fall 2023 approaches, the two longtime collaborators have unveiled the “Smoke and Mirrors” collection, a two-piece effort featuring the OG Sk8-Hi LX and OG Old Skool LX.

Inspired by the phrase “It’s all smoke and mirrors,” the latest linkup between Concepts and Vans Vault applies a literal interpretation to two “Off the Wall” icons. Suede, sublimated canvas, and reflective accents take on the two silhouettes included in the “Smoke and Mirrors” pack, bringing the theater-related saying to sneaker form. The project falls in line with a number of music-related efforts between the Massachusetts and California institutions, which include the “Rat Hunter” Syndicate Old Skool, “Forty Deuce” Old Skool, and “Mohair Pack.”
