Originally rumored in June, the Air Jordan 6 GORE-TEX “Brown Kelp” has finally surfaced via in-hand photography.
While much of the retro is still under wraps, a recent spy shot of the sneaker reveals the best look yet at the waterproof Air Jordan. A weatherized upper appears on the pair, donning a uniform finish from toe box to sportscar-inspired clip at the heel. Supporting accents throughout the sneaker take on “Court Purple” flair, delivering stark contrast to the understated brown that covers most of the GORE-TEX Jordan 6. According to sneaker leakers, Brand Jordan’s latest modernized basketball sneaker is inspired by the ACG Air Mowabb “Birch,” an offering that debuted in 1991. Sole units underfoot also take on a number of fall-appropriate colors, further expanding the Air Jordan line’s off-court legacy. Reworked tooling to better suit inclement weather doesn’t seem to appear on the shoe, but NIKE, Inc. could’ve included a different rubber compound on the “Brown Kelp” style.
Enjoy an extremely early look at the pair here, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before November ends.
