First launched in 1996, the Saucony Grid Shadow 2 has been reborn over the last year. In addition to returning in its original “White/Blue” color scheme, the silhouette has received special ensembles courtesy of Saucony’s extended family.
Next up in the old school runner’s schedule is Colour Plus Companie, a multidisciplinary label based in Brooklyn, New York. The independent brand’s latest proposition for Saucony Originals covers the Grid Shadow 2 in a “Forest Wander” arrangement. As stated on the Colour Plus Co. website, the finish is “inspired by the hues you would find on an adventurous woodland hike.” High quality materials take on the sneaker’s upper, as has been the case on other Grid Shadow 2 collaborations (we’re looking at you, Jae Tips), with vibrant yellow animating base layers. Most of the sole unit is left to enjoy a pitch-black finish that allows for contrasting tones to revel in the spotlight. Co-branding appears on the spine and shoe box, further cementing the decades-old silhouette as a lifestyle option in the modern era.
Enjoy retailer photography of the pair ahead, and find the shoes at a wide array of shops come Friday, September 29th. The shoes are priced at $140 USD.
