JJJJound x New Balance 2002R Set To Release On October 26th

Updated October 13th, 2023: JJJJound has officially revealed their 2002R collaboration. A release date of October 26th, 2023 ($170) is confirmed.

JJJJound recently teased its next project: a New Balance 2002R.

The Montreal-based design studio hasn’t launched any product with the Boston-based brand since February. Over the last seven months, the Justin R. Saunders-led agency has brought its affinity for understated aesthetics to several footwear, apparel, and accessories projects, further spreading the JJJJound way. Fans of the studio’s New Balance 990-series releases, however, have been asking for Saunders and team to return to New Balance Running’s heritage catalog. The newly-teased NB 2002R blends old and new given the model’s running DNA and lifestyle positioning. The sneaker features shades of blue across the suede, leather, and mesh upper. “JJJJound” branding is proudly brandished on the top of the tongue. Underfoot, the New Balance 860v2’s sole unit keeps things on-theme with the top-half’s color scheme, deviating from the ultra-muted finishes found on other JJJJound x New Balance product.

Enjoy an early look at the pair ahead, and anticipate a limited drop via newbalance.com and jjjjound.com before 2023 ends.
