Jared Ebanks Later this week routine NB collaborator Stone Island will be officially introducing the inaugural second version of the iconic New Balance 991. While the Flimby-made silhouette will boast the banner’s Made In UK tooling, the 991v2 has already been prepared in a range of follow-ups to the Stone Island debut.
While the collaborative treatment will introduce the model in a pitch-dark composition, a recently previewed inline effort sees the slightly tweaked ensemble undergo a classic colorway treatment. Curing its mesh base layer, leather vamp connectors and laces in grey, the surrounding suede panels achieve a complimentary dark tan treatment. Teal-colored accents amplify the updated ABZORB cushioning system underfoot while Made In England embroidered branding imbues the pair with a lasting premium treatment.
