Michael Le In addition to designing brand new silhouettes, Stella McCartney has reinterpreted many an iconic pair of adidas. The resident collaborator has even joined forces with the brand’s Terrex line, crafting not only a set of hiking boots but also her very own take on the Free Hiker.
After hitting retailers in “Gobi” earlier this year, the Stella McCartney x adidas Terrex Free Hiker has now lined up two new colorways for later this October. But though a part of McCartney’s expanding love letter to winter sports, these pairs couldn’t be any more distinct from their aforementioned counterpart. While the sock-like upper, stretchable ripstop, and gusseted tongue construction remain, the duo opts for palettes much more unique. On one end, black is used all throughout; the other, vibrant purples, greens, and blues highlight a predominantly neutral base.
