The Kid’s Air Jordan 5 “Plaid” Releases On October 20th

First teased in late September, the kid’s Air Jordan 5 “Plaid” has recently surfaced via official photography.

Set to launch in Grade School sizing on October 20th, the latest take on Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design sees the sneaker’s upper covered in patterned fabrics. Understated black and white squares appear alongside traditional tartan, creating a disparate arrangement. The kid’s Air Jordan, however, ups the experimental ante by also featuring different shades of orange across the top and bottom-halves. Midsoles heavily favor a tamer finish than their surroundings, although fighter jet-inspired “teeth” indulge in vibrant citrus flair. Traction keeps things simple, although the Jumpman logo at the forefoot boasts an orange makeover that interrupts the muted tooling.

Enjoy official photos of the eye-catching retro ahead, and find the shoes via nike.com on October 20th. The pair is priced at $150 USD.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 11 “Gratitude” releases for the whole family in early December.
