After undergoing an appropriate name change, the Reebok Hurrikaze II maintains the same striking composition that flew through the air alongside Shawn Kemp throughout the 90s. Most recently attributed to a collegiate collection centered around March Madness, the polarizing high-top model now extends a two-pair collection in honor of the Emerald City that Kemp calls home to this day.
Embarking upon a duo of Seattle-inspired color blockings, the “OG Inverse” colorway takes on a flipped aesthetic of the silhouette’s original dominant black treatment. As such, the pitch-dark hue is moved to the background while the forefoot and upper’s electric paneling are dressed in crisp white in tandem with the laces and the majority of the sole unit. Much like its 1995 counterpart, a vibrant evergreen hue is cast in a reserved fashion across the heel and the duo of Reebok insignias.
The other half of the pack looks toward the Super Sonic’s iconic red and green alternate uniforms. Mirroring a similar alternate version from 2020, a dark spruce hue consumes a bulk of the upper with vibrant yellow contrasts illuminating the logos and heel. What’s more, a vibrant red outfit assumes the nubuck upper sidewall, heel counter and pair of pull tabs.
The Reebok Hurrikaze II “Seattle” pack is scheduled to release on October 20th for a retail price of $130 each. In the meantime, enjoy a detailed look at the pairs below alongside our accompanying store list.
