“Light Violet” Keeps The Nike Air Force 1 Wild Lifestyle-Ready

The Nike Air Force 1 Wild continues to build its roster of styles as fall gets going.

A trail-inspired take on Bruce Kilgore’s iconic “presidential” design, the sneaker couples beloved signature details with function-oriented modifications. Textile bases are overlaid with suede panels à la various Nike ACG models from over the decades. Pull tabs appear on the top of the tongue, with reworked inner collars also delivering a better fit and comfort to the Air Force 1-variant. Underfoot, a textile-wrapped midsole is lighter and more flexible than standard versions of the sneaker to help with mile-long excursions.

Components throughout the sneaker are clad in “Light Violet” and “Plum Fog” hues, bringing a fitting autumnal aesthetic to the rugged silhouette. The two shades of purple bring a lifestyle-friendly look to the function-oriented offering, deviating from the drab browns and darker tones that have traditionally taken on hiking footwear. While tame, the upcoming Air Force 1 Wild falls in line with the Oregon-based company’s outdoors legacy, one that brought personality to the hiking world back in the 1980s.

No firm launch date has been disclosed by the brand, but the shoes are likely to hit nike.com before 2023 ends. While you wait, enjoy official photos of the pair ahead.
