Ready to hit the green.

The Nike Air Max 1 Golf Readies A Second Gum Treaded Effort

Nike has made a concerted effort towards transitioning its most iconic models onto the green, from Eastside Golf’s routine collaborations to Travis Scott’s recent Air Jordan 1 Low “Olive”. In a more frequent vein, the Air Max 90 has paired its waffle-inspired outsole with elongated lugs ready for the versatile grounds of a golf course. Recently, the Tinker Hatfield design expanded its gum-accented collection with a jet-black fervor.

Imposing the antithesis of its white-dominant Air Max 1 that was revealed a few weeks ago, the Tinker Hatfield design now dresses in an opposing pitch-dark outfit. From the thick ballistic mesh base layer and smooth suede overlays to the neoprene heel collar and tongue, the near entirety of the upper is cast in a clad-black composition – save the bright white profile swooshes and uppermost eyelets. In a stark contrast to its gloomy uppers, the speckled sole unit achieves a colorless finish while a gum-treated tread imbues the silhouette with a classic closing underfoot.

Enjoy a detailed look a the Nike Air Max 1 Golf “Black/Gum” below as we await further release details.

For more from underneath the Beaverton brand’s umbrella, Nike has signed 13 NBA draftees.
