INVINCIBLE And N.HOOLYWOOD Help Energize The New Balance 1906U

A utility-informed update of the retro running model.

INVINCIBLE And N.HOOLYWOOD Help Energize The New Balance 1906U

Longtime collaborators INVINCIBLE and N.HOOLYWOOD are back with another “N”-branded project: the New Balance 1906U.

Previously, the East Asian institutions reworked the standard version of the NB 1906R, reimagining it through the lens of a “Grey Swan.” For their next linkup with the North American juggernaut, INVINCIBLE and N. HOOLYWOOD have stayed with a similar grayscale color palette, but have applied it to the latest version of the silhouette. Informed by utility (hence the “U” in NB 1906U), the next technical New Balance features an array of different materials across its upper. The reworked model seemingly reduces weight while reinforcing some of the panels on the shoe that were previously only mesh. Suede, toggle laces, and additional overlays around the forefoot help differentiate the sneaker from its predecessors. In terms of modifications, the Eastern collaborators have kept their touches minimal, only adding their names to the pair’s tongue and sockliner. The special makeover of the New Balance 1906U arrives with two additional sets of laces and in a co-branded shoe box. Together, each aforementioned component helps expand the legacy of one of the Boston-based brand’s modern hits.

Enjoy an early look at the pair head. No firm newbalance.com launch details have been disclosed by any party involved, but that’s sure to change at the top of 2024. The next collaboration between New Balance, INVINCIBLE, and N.HOOLYWOOD is expected to retail for $185 USD.
