From a resurgence on TikTok to a widely-regarded collaborative installment with Korn, the adidas Campus has enacted a semi-revitalization over the past year. While the hardwood staple has been mysteriously left out of Jerry Lorenzo’s inaugural adidas x Fear of God collection, the early 1970s silhouette has instead been picked up by fashion and culture platform Highsnobiety for their latest collaborative effort with the German sportswear behemoth.
Inspired by the minimalist aesthetic of a blank canvas, Highsnobiety’s latest take on the low-top court model circulates around a mixed material upper. Divulging between layers of suede, canvas and nubuck, embroidered eyelets and frayed edges imbue the silhouette with rugged fashionable embellishments. While a warm “Chalk White” consumes the thick mid-foot overlay, pockets of “White Tin” nubuck anchor the vamp and profile 3-Stripes. Adding a slight greyscale contrast at the suede heel tab and quarter, the sole unit brings a clad-cream finish to the aged palette while cobranded adidas and HS logos come debossed into the tumbled leather tongue and heel.
The Highsnobiety x adidas Campus “HIGHArt” is scheduled to release on December 6th for a retail price of $130 USD. In the meantime, the pair can be seen ahead in detailed imagery.
In other news, the PUMA MB.03 “Dexter’s Laboratory” releases on December 22nd.
